Savvy Savo collected pennies, but only those that he found. He didn't believe in money or materialism and thought that spirituality was the only true path. He was in constant chaotic conflict because of that. Money or spirituality. Spirituality or money. Some of his family and friends said that he had a split penny personality.
He thought that if he found the pennies then they must be blessed and God-given. It also proved that he was indeed a spiritualist. But his main goal in life was to collect a billion pennies, become a penny billionaire, and give them all away to charity.
I decided to help Savo find his spirituality and become that billionaire. So I threw pennies on the ground for him to pick up. But when he saw me throwing them, he would just stare at them and wouldn't pick up a single one. He had to find them on his own. His ritual was to look at the pennies then say a prayer, “Thank you God for blessing me with your generosity.” Next, he'd wash them, shine them up, and put them in his billionaire-to-be bag.
Savvy Savo had pride and wanted to feel that he had worked for them. Never speaking a word, he let his flash cards do all the talking for him:
Every Penny Counts
A Penny Saved Is A Penny Earned
A Penny For Your Thoughts
Penny Rich And Penny Wise
I tried to help him and made up some penny slogans of my own. “A dirty penny have you got any?” “Give Savvy Savo a penny cuz he needs so many.”
So if you have pennies that you can spare, sprinkle them on the ground everywhere. Then say a prayer that Savvy Savo finds them there and becomes that penny billionaire.
